I’m Dominic Davis, MSW, LCSW (HI), President of APWU Local 64, dedicated to empowering postal workers and building stronger communities nationwide.

I’ve always believed that leadership starts with listening. With a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Hawaii, my background in human services fuels my approach to union leadership — blending compassion with strategy and advocacy.
Today, as President of APWU Local 64, I lead initiatives that protect worker rights, improve workplace standards, and educate members on financial, health, and retirement benefits.
Began my professional journey in human services, focusing on community outreach, youth mentorship, and family support programs. Developed a deep understanding of the challenges working families face across social and economic systems.
Earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Hawaii. Worked with adults and families through counseling, crisis management, and advocacy, emphasizing the intersection between emotional well-being and workplace balance.
Transitioned from direct social work into organized labor, combining my clinical understanding of people with strategic leadership in the American Postal Workers Union (APWU). Took active roles in advocacy, grievance management, and member education.
My advocacy extends beyond union walls. Through partnerships with local organizations, I work to promote wellness, financial literacy, and opportunity within our communities.
Partnered with nonprofits to support housing access for veterans and working families.
Organized volunteer drives addressing food insecurity in Los Angeles County.
Hosted educational programs focused on worker rights and mental health awareness.
Collaborated with civic groups to strengthen public engagement and community resilience.

As President of the Greater Los Angeles Area Local 64, I am committed to transparency, representation, and progress. My leadership approach blends accountability with empathy — ensuring every member’s voice matters.
